Environmental monitoring, remediation and sustainable resource management in compliance with regulations

Environmental Monitoring

Thanks to the expertise and professionalism it has acquired over its long experience, Progetti e Servizi is able to perform monitoring of all environmental components. These activities include monitoring of surface and underground water, atmosphere, noise and vibrations, waste, soil, polluting materials, ionizing radiation, electromagnetic fields and microclimate.

Progetti e Servizi also carries out environmental remediation plans and is able to support companies in the management of all environmental issues in order to meet the requirements of sector regulations.

Environmental management of construction sites

Progetti e Servizi operates with the support of specialised personnel, assisting clients in the design and execution of monitoring of the various environmental components (air, surface and underground water, noise and vibrations, soil and subsoil, landscape, fauna, electromagnetic fields, etc.), both in the context of the construction of major works and in the ordinary management of minor realities.

The company also carries out investigations, including chemical-physical ones, for the management of excavated soil and rocks or for waste management, as required by current legislation.

Environmental acoustics

Using the most advanced technical instrumentation, Progetti e Servizi prepares studies and plans for acoustic remediation, draws up impact and acoustic climate assessments, designs acoustic mitigation interventions, intervention priority maps and anything else required by current environmental acoustics legislation. Thanks to the use of software such as SoundPLAN®, methods such as the Statistical pass-by (SPB) method and the Close Proximity Index (CPX), it is able to produce noise prediction models in order to assess the effects that the same may produce in a more or less vast field, both for existing works and for works that have not yet been realised.

Environmental Management Systems

Progetti e Servizi supports companies in the management of the requirements and indications of Control Bodies and accompanies them to certification according to UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 by drawing up Environmental Management Systems (EMS) aimed at the correct management of the impacts generated by work activities. Through careful environmental analysis and a precise assessment of risks and opportunities, it works to implement and/or update the systems in relation to the development and growth of the activities that the client intends to undertake.

Sustainability

Pursuing the idea of sustainability and environmental protection, as well as the prevention of all forms of pollution, through the development of specific EMSs, Progetti e Servizi works together with its customers to:

define environmental objectives and targets consistent with corporate development and operational management and continuously monitor the environmental components most affected by activities;

rationalizing the use of resources by reducing energy and water consumption where possible, promoting waste recovery and properly managing the disposal of surplus materials;

manage waste in a controlled and organized manner, favouring its recycling and/or recovery or providing for its environmentally sound disposal;

prevent and manage any incidents or non-conformities in a timely manner;

promote the involvement and training, on environmental matters, of collaborators, employees, subcontractors and all those involved in the company’s activities, highlighting the importance that the individual’s actions have on the significant environmental aspects and risks linked to the activity;

consolidating, improving and making systematic the application of the Environmental Management System, in accordance with the requirements of UNI EN ISO 14001:2015.

Progetti e Servizi also offers its support in the management and resolution of any environmental non-conformities found by the clients themselves or by Certifying Bodies. It provides training aimed at developing the skills needed to perform critical activities and performs second-party audits aimed at assessing the correct application of current environmental legislation and the system documentation applied.
